About us

Home EV Charging Guide answers the practical questions US homeowners ask before and after buying an electric car.

Home EV Charging Guide is written and maintained by the Home EV Charging Guide editorial team. We cover what a home charger costs, how to install one safely, which incentives still exist, and how long charging really takes.

What we are, and what we aren't

We are not electricians or tax advisers. We research each topic from primary sources (government agencies, codes and manufacturer documentation), show our math, link every source, and tell you when to hire a licensed professional.

How we work

Read our editorial policy for how we research, use AI tools, fact-check and correct errors. Questions or corrections: hillel-sites@mail.grokbot.com.
